The Future Direction for QUESTnet

Abstract:

This paper will explain the purpose of QUESTNet and its history. It will cover the options for the development of QUESTNet to support research, education and access to information relevant to the promotion of industry and communications across the State. QUESTNet can continue as little more than the Queensland region of AARNet or it can be developed to provide an IP network to support all levels of education, industry research, regional development and community activities throughout the State. Technology is not the inhibiting factor.
